Jacob Margolin

My name is Jacob Margolin. I am 16 years old and a junior at Paul D. Schreiber High School. This season will be my 7th year involved in a FIRST team an my 7th year as a member of the Congobots: the first 4 years being FLL and the latter 3 years being FTC. At school I am a member of the Key Club, which provides opportunities for volunteer work for students. I am also on the school’s JV tennis team, ans play frequently outside of the school. Other than tennis, I am an avid snowboarder. It’s one of my favorite things to do; I can never get enough of it! In my free time, I am either playing Xbox or hanging out with my  friends. I do not have any jobs, but hey if someone paid me to do some work, I don’t think I would turn them down! Some of my hobbies include lots of video game playing and snowboarding as  mentioned before, but I am also very into cars: new, old, classic, exotic, foreign etc. If it looks cool, is loud, as is fast, then I’m into it! My favorite food is by far Mac and Cheese. I’d eat it for every meal if I could. My favorite color is blue. One of the coolest things I’ve done recently was a trip to Europe over the summer. It was one of the most amazing experiences if my life. I saw many incredible famous and not-so-famous landmarks, and made some great friends. For the future, I hope to go to college for engineering or architecture. Or maybe even robotics. Really anything math or science related is interesting to me. One other STEM interests I have is architecture. I am involved in a program called ACE, where I am on a team of kids who intern at an architecture firm. We are given a topic for a project, and then we have total control over what we want to design and later present. I enjoy it very much, and this year will be my second year of that.
